BYK-306 leveling agent is a silicone-containing surface additive for room-temperature curing plastic systems and solvent-based coating systems, markedly reducing surface tension.
BYK-306 leveling agent offers excellent substrate wettability, prevents crater formation, and improves surface slip. It enhances wetting on hard-to-wet substrates, prevents Bernard cell formation in pigment-filled systems, improves leveling, increases acceptance of dust and overspray, and enhances surface slip.
BYK-306 additive reduces the sensitivity of wood and furniture coatings to airflow and improves the orientation of matting agents.
BYK-306 leveling agent, by lowering the surface tension of coatings, provides good substrate wetting for difficult-to-wet substrates and excellent anti-cratering properties as a silicone surface additive. It also increases surface slip, scratch resistance, and anti-blocking properties.
